Please join us on Wednesday, March 29, at 7 pm in the school library, for our APA meeting. This month, Tracey O’Toole will be sharing 2017/2018 student enrollment projections, staff allocations and the process for creating the 2017/2018 staffing model. Alanna Julian, Allenby’s Teacher-Librarian will speak about Allenby’s Library Learning Commons and provide links and resources for parents and families. Lastly, we will be voting on a motion brought forward by the Safety Task Force, to spend up to $1,000 on new signage for our Drop Zones and Kindergarten No Parking Zones. The complete agenda can be accessed here.
This month’s childcare theme is Popcorn and a Movie. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas, bring a comfy blanket and curl up to a surprise screening of Moana. Popcorn and drinks will be served! Childcare spots are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. Please RSVP to Valerie Midmer before Monday, March 27 if you require childcare.
The APA meetings are always held in collaboration with school administration and are a great way to find out what’s happening in the school from both an APA and school-level perspective. If you have any lingering questions about the general happenings at the school, it’s almost guaranteed that they have been answered at an APA meeting. And if not, we always have time at the end of our meetings for Q&A.
We hope to see you next Wednesday!
