Summer is here, and while the new grass didn’t fare so well over the winter, there is good news! Yes, we will be getting turf in the summer of 2016 (funded by the TDSB). We also are in the final stages of developing a Master Plan for our school play spaces. These will guide all future improvements in our play areas as well as enhance the options for Allenby community kids at recess, gym, and even on weekends. The students are getting excited about what it might look like – even submitting their own planning ideas using the recently purchased iPads.
At the recent APA meeting, parents agreed to a targeted fundraising campaign that will commence in the new school year (NOTE: This will be separate from other APA fundraising activities). To see a copy of the presentation, please click here.
