Fundraising Committee Members Needed
We are close to completing the Master Plan for our field and play spaces at Allenby. To bring these drawings to life we are looking for some passionate people to join our team. Do you have a knack for fundraising? Experience in applying for grants? Then we are looking for you! Specifically, we are looking for people to fulfill the following roles:
1. Field Fundraiser
Responsibilities include:
- working with the APA Chair of Fundraising and the Field/Playground Committee to develop a fundraising plan to raise $50,000 in each of 2014/15 and 2015/16 (*exact amount to be determined after final Master Plan is presented)
- working with the Treasurer of the APA, co-ordinate collection of funds, issuance of tax receipts
- assist with planning and overseeing fundraising initiatives for Field/Playground enhancements
- work with the Field/Playground Grant Guru to apply for grants related to our project
2. Grant Guru
Responsibilities include:
- research grants related to field and playground improvements
- work with the Field Fundraiser to apply for and secure grants
- We would like to get the ball rolling over the summer so that we can begin building our field of dreams!
