APA Fall Fundraiser – Family Day “In”!!!
Calling all aspiring chefs! A global pandemic is not going to get in the way of the APA’s annual Family/Parents’ Night Out. Instead of gathering together for live performances, movies, silent auctions, drinks, snacks and socializing, as we normally would, we are bringing the fun to your home kitchen. We have partnered with a few local companies and have chefs lined up to host virtual cooking classes that the whole family can enjoy. No experience necessary and only basic ingredients/kitchen equipment are required. Parent supervision in the kitchen is required. Details are as follows:
Sunday, November 29th
Join The Chef Upstairs for a virtual pizza party!
Make dinner together as a family – homemade pizza dough, sauce, toppings and Caesar salad
#1: 2:00 – 3:30 pm for JK/SK – Grade 3 (50 spots)
#2: 4:30 – 6:00 pm for Grades 4 – 6 (50 spots)
Saturday, December 12th
Join Le Dolci for a virtual holiday baking party!
Make holiday treats together – two types of delicious cookies
#3: 2:00 – 4:00 pm for JK/SK – Grade 3 (25 spots)
#4: 2:00 – 4:00 pm for Grades 4 – 6 (25 spots)
Tickets are $40 per family per class and go on sale Friday, November 13th via Amilia.
Once registration closes, families will receive a grocery list, list of equipment and a Zoom link for the session. We recommend that you try to register for the time slot assigned to your child’s grade so that they can see some familiar faces on Zoom and also pick up some age-appropriate tips from the chefs.
Happy cooking Allenby!
