The DEI Committee is excited to bring Allenby alum and former CFL Player, Ryan Hinds, to the school to meet with the grade 3 and 4 classes on the morning of Monday, May 8th. Ryan’s talk will focus on our role in creating inclusive environments where all children feel like they belong.
Ryan will share some experiences as a newcomer to the country and the important ways the students at Allenby made him feel welcomed despite their differences. Using football as an analogy, Ryan will share the importance of being kind, embracing different people around you and leveraging those differences for success.
