In previous years, Allenby families, teachers and staff have generously donated to our school’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Due to this overwhelming generosity, Allenby has been invited to take part in Sarah’s Food Drive School Challenge for the Daily Bread Food Bank from Monday, October 5th to Friday, October 9th.Allenby is on Team West along with 6 other schools and will challenge Team East to see who can collect the most food. In addition to bringing in food, parents can also donate online on Allenby’s dedicated school page.Daily Bread considers every dollar donated as one pound of food ( $1= 1 pound).
We will hold daily challenges as follows and students are encouraged to bring these items to the boxes located outside of the office and by the library inside the St. Clement’s doors each day next week:
- Monday – Canned Beans
- Tuesday – Canned Fish or Meat
- Wednesday – Pasta and Pasta Sauce
- Thursday – Canned Vegetables and Canned Fruit
- Friday – Baby Food and Baby Formula
Thanks Allenby for your support! By participating in this challenge, we are part of the largest community based food drive at Daily Bread Food Bank which includes 14 schools representing 7,000 students.
