Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas
This week, many students learned about Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas. Diwali is a 5-day holiday that began on November 12th and is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and some Buddhists. This festival of lights focuses on triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil. Diwali is celebrated with fireworks, food, games and prayer.
