We need your help! Graduation Day is fast approaching for the Grade 6s and their families. Grad Day is Tuesday June 26th. It has been a long-standing tradition that the Grade 5 parents have had the honour of hosting a small reception for the Grads and their families (with cake, fruit, and beverages). This reception (held in the lunchroom) immediately follows the graduation ceremony (held in the gym). The contribution level by Grade 5 parents is relatively minor, and yet your participation can make a remarkable difference to the flow of the graduation day festivities. In twelve short months, we will be standing at graduation grateful for the work the next group of Grade 5 parents will have done, allowing us to enjoy our day with our own Grads.
We have heard from only a few Grade 5 parents, but if you haven’t yet replied, please send an email to Jennifer Hicks by Thursday June 21 confirming what time commitment or donation you’d like to make. If you’re sending a cash donation, please put it in an envelope marked “Allenby Grad c/o Jenn Purkis” and forward it directly to the school office.
