This year Allenby will participate in the Fresh from the Farm fundraiser. Fresh from the Farm provides a healthy fundraising alternative to schools by selling fresh Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables. Since 2013, over 2,200 schools have raised over $1.9 million for school initiatives, selling 4.3 million pounds (lb) of Ontario grown produce. The goal of the program is to allow families to enjoy fresh, Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables, promote a healthy school environment, and allow for school fundraising, while supporting Ontario farmers.
Families can purchase an Apple Bundle (8 lb of Ambrosia apples) for $24.00 and/or a Vegetable Bundle (5lb white potatoes, 5lb sweet potatoes, 3lb yellow onions, 3lb orange carrots) for $22.00. Allenby receives 40% of the total sales.
Submit your orders through Amilia until October 6th. Orders can be picked up from Allenby in November or early December. The exact date will be communicated to participating families once our delivery date is set by Fresh from the Farm.
