May is Speech & Language Awareness Month and we’ll be celebrating Dress Loud Day… ALL MAY LONG!
Today marks the beginning of Speech & Hearing Awareness Month and our month-long celebration of Dress Loud Day—and we want you to celebrate with us! We will be uploading many helpful resources for our educator friends to share with their students and classes—these resources are also great for parents to use too, stay tuned!
Help support our well-loved Dress Loud Day by spreading awareness and also, picking a day to dress in your most WILD, COLOURFUL AND LOUD outfits!
What is Dress Loud Day? It is an opportunity to educate individuals that deaf or hard-of-hearing kids listen, speak, attend mainstream schools, go to university, and find employment. Dress Loud Day is about generating awareness and creating ideal listening environments across classrooms and work environments. Participants wear their loudest, wildest, wackiest clothing, take pictures, and post to #VOICEDressLoud and follow us @VOICE4DeafKids.
Show your support for Speech & Language Awareness Month by printing and colouring your very own “I’m dressing loud for ____”
Here are some resources and classroom activities to get the most out of this event.
