We hope students and teachers enjoyed the “All about Food Allergy” presentation sponsored by the DEIHW committee, from Food Allergy Canada. Ask your students what they have learned about food allergies, common myths, and the science behind it!
Sustainable Games Event
The DEIHW committee is beginning to plan for a winter fundraiser that focuses on sustainable community building and fun! We will have a games night where families can play, interact, and try out new games and books. In an effort to be sustainable, we will be selling pre-loved books, games, and puzzles for low prices, with all $ going to the APA to support school programs. This event will take place in February.
In order to make it a success, we need your help! Starting next week, we will be collecting gently used puzzles and games (with all pieces) and books. These items can be children-, teen-, or adult-focused. These can be dropped off at a box in front of the office beginning Monday, with an end date to be communicated. This is the perfect time to consider what your family no longer uses and would love to share with other families before the holiday rush. Be on the lookout for more updates in future newsletters.
