Soon after the Break, the Board will be issuing their projections for Allenby’s student enrolment for the 2020/2021 school year. The school administration will also receive Allenby’s teacher allocation for 2020/2021. The number of students enrolled in each grade and each panel, along with the number of teaching staff assigned to our school (classroom teachers, resource teachers, prep teachers, etc.) will be used together to form classroom allocation models for next year.
The process of determining classroom allocations is one of numbers and creativity, with the aim of arriving at the best possible situation for all students at Allenby. As happens each year, the APA has been asked to form a working group to provide input into the allocations for the 2020/2021 school year. The span of the process is a couple of weeks and requires approximately 5 or 6 hours.
