I would like to remind everyone to complete the online survey for the PART process by 4:00 p.m. Friday April 19. The survey has now been created on Survey Monkey. Click here to complete the survey. It is important for everyone to take a moment to fill it out. This data becomes part of public record and will show the PART committee what Allenby wants for its school. It has been brought to our attention that Question 3 (a) is misleading. Apparently the TDSB forgot to mention English boundaries would be affected by the boundary change. The Question should read:
3.(a) Change the English boundaries for the school and make the school “closed” for optional attendance for French Immersion as of September 2014. There will be no grandparenting of students in the school who are now out-of-district because of the boundary change, nor would their siblings be able to attend Allenby. Some interior renovations/re-purposing of space within Allenby would still be required.
I would also like to give two more names for those interested in writing letters both supporting the build and voicing their opinion on a Plan B should the build not be approved:
- Gabriel F. Sekaly, Assistant Deputy Minister Business and Finance – gabriel.sekaly@ontario.ca
- Grant Osborn, Assistant Deputy Minister Capital Funding for FDK – grant.osborn@ontario.ca
