It really seems like winter is in control these days; however, we are trying to find windows of time for our students to be outside. Please ensure that your child comes to school appropriately dressed for cold weather. The extremely cold temperatures have slowed down the construction work that can be done extracting the hill, although, it did not stop the removal of several mature trees across the front of the school. It was very sad for Allenby to see those beautiful trees fall; however, we are thankful that the TDSB Senior Manager of Sustainability is trying to secure 10 trees for our site in conjunction with the installation of artificial turf within a 2 to 3 year time-frame.
