At last week’s APA meeting, the motion to approve funding design work for Allenby Playground areas was passed. This is exciting news as it moves us one step closer to creating a welcoming and user-friendly playground at our school. (click here to see the presentation from last week’s meeting)
We are now at the stage of needing additional people to join the Field and Playground Committee. We are looking for people who are interested in assisting in the design consultation process. This is at least a 3-4 month commitment and will include meetings with both our school group (parents, teachers, administration) as well as with the landscape architect. We are looking at having parent representation from across all grades, including kindergarten. In the near future we will also be looking for people to work on a fundraising campaign as well as people to assist in communication.
