The Allenby Community is truly a force, and it showed at this year’s Fun Fair! Despite a bumpy year, so many from the community came together for a fun-filled day at our school! Thank you to all who showed their support for Allenby by attending the Fun Fair, by organizing and donating to the amazing class baskets and by volunteering their time before, during and after the Fair.
A special thank you to the teachers who braved the water and got into the dunk tank. We had a superstar line-up this year and that certainly brought smiles to the kids’ faces. Many teachers, staff and their families were also at the Fair to have fun and show their support, and for that, we are incredibly appreciative.
Of course, this incredible event would not be possible without the time and efforts of the Fun Fair Planning Committee. Thank you to the 25 Allenby parents who so selflessly gave their time and skills to make Fun Fair a success!
Net proceeds from this year’s Fun Fair were over $26,000, with Class Baskets contributing over $10,000 of that!!! Net proceeds from the Fun Fair are used by the APA to fund programs and purchases that enrich our children’s educational experience – initiatives like the Safe Arrival Program, fine arts and music programs, playground greening, Scientists in the Classroom, audio equipment, literacy and computer resources, and so much more.
Thank you Allenby! We are already looking forward to more FUN next year!!!
