Start picking your songs, forming your group, thinking of costumes..its almost here! The most anticipated time of the year for Allenby students! Yes…its Allenby Lip Synch The evening of February 21 & 22nd, 2013.
For those new to Allenby or anyone who has yet to participate in this fabulous event, Allenby Lip Synch is an age old tradition at Allenby PS. Students form a group with friends, pick a song to lip synch and perform on stage for a 2 minute performance. There are usually costumes, routines and lots of fun. We have fantastic Grade 6 MC’s and the past few years, we’ve even had some special guest appearances by names such as JB and Lady Gaga! It is a fun-filled, spirited evening for the whole family to enjoy!
Tryouts are Thursday January 17th after school in the gym (if you have After 4, please come following dismissal). All acts are accepted to perform; however, we hold tryouts to ensure we have a variety of songs and to ensure that all performances are suitable for this family-friendly event.
Important Information: Registration forms and ticket order forms can be downloaded and are available in the school office.

A few things to think about:
- Due to its popularity, we will not have any groups perform Gangnam Style
- This is a family event (and a very fun one too!) Please keep in mind that all songs, acts and costumes must be suitable for all ages.
- All groups need to have one parent supervising at the tryouts and dress rehearsal
- All groups MUST provide a copy of their songs to the Lip Synch Committee. More details on the form.
