LOST & FOUND: A Reunion Story
As is typical at this time of year, the Lost & Found (located at the St Clements entrance foyer) is overflowing with lost and misplaced items. Mostly clothing.

What’s New? We are taking a new approach with directed efforts to reunite lost/misplaced items with their owners. We know people are busy and may not notice that items are missing, or have the time to come and look. So …

  • Every 2–4 weeks, items are being sorted into categories (hats, mitts, coats/jackets, sweats/hoodies, shoes/boots, lunch gear/water bottles, and misc)
  • Name-tagged/labelled items are being pulled out, listed, and returned to students directly with the help of the office, student volunteers, and teachers
  • Non-tagged items are being folded and hung up in the St Clements Foyer area, in the hope that someone will come by and pick them up

In the past month, we have returned 60+ items to their owners thanks to name tags and labelling.

WHAT’S LEFT TO COLLECT:
– 60+ unclaimed sweatshirts/hoodies still in Lost & Found (mostly black)
– 10+ water bottles
– 25+ jackets, coats and snow pants with no one to keep warm
– 10+ pairs and single shoes/boots
– Handful of bathing suits and a swim bag
– Random headbands, toys, fidgets

Please take a minute to check out the LOST & FOUND. Chances are, you may not know it is missing until you find it.

PLEASE CONSIDER LABELLING your children’s clothing (a Sharpie is not a bad option), and we will continue to work to get misplaced items back to their owners.
