Scholastic Festival du Livre is coming – December 9 – 13

We invite your entire family to participate by purchasing a few of the wonderful French books at our Festival du Livre. There will be a wide assortment of reading levels.  K-6 French Immersion classes will come with their teachers at a scheduled time. Junior English classes will come down during a French period. English Grade 1-3 classes will come to browse or shop during their regular library time. English stream kindergarten classes will not be scheduled to shop. Parents and caring adults are invited to shop with children before or after school. The Library will be open from:

  • 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm Monday
  • 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday
  • 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Wednesday
  • 8:00 am – 10:30 am Friday

For every $10 you spend at the Festival up to $6 comes directly back to our school! Staff will have wishlists for classroom resources posted by Tuesday.

We look forward to seeing you at our Scholastic Festival du Livre and thanks, in advance, for supporting this great literacy event. Mostly, thank you for believing in books and the importance reading has on your child’s future.

Library Book Exchange

Book Exchange for primary students will stop the week of December 2 – 5. Junior Students will not be able to take out new books as of December 2 and are asked to return all books by December 13. Once all books are returned the late notices will be sent home. If the book is lost, you are kindly asked to pay $10 to assist in the replacement of the book. Book Exchange will resume in the new year.

I strongly encourage families to visit the Toronto Public Library during the holiday to enjoy the routine of selecting and enjoying books together.
