Schools are to be secure sites in order to best ensure that our students are as safe as possible. Due to the cold weather and the poor accessibility of the school with the current construction, the school doors have not been locked during the school day. However, it is expected that all volunteers and visitors will sign in at the office before gaining access to other parts of the school building. Many parents/caregivers/guardians come to the school to drop off items for students (such as lunches) on a regular basis and are not coming to the office, and many also come to pick up students or appointments and do not wait in the office. Please help the staff convey the messaging that all visitors are to come to the office. Helping students become more responsible regarding personal items will assist them in becoming responsible adolescents.
