Dear Allenby Families,
We want to remind you again to come to the APA meeting this Wednesday, March 27th from 7:00-9:00pm. It will be held in the Library. There will be some regular business held before the Space Committee presentation.
We will be outlining all options under consideration, and will be seeking to obtain the preferred Allenby options to accommodate FDK and increased enrolment at Allenby. There will be a voting process, which we are cautiously calling an official vote, as it will not be an exact science. The results of that ‘vote’ will be used to help determine which options the 2 parent PART representatives will present at the PART meeting on April 2. We will ask for it to be one vote per household so please respect that request. In order to determine the number of “households at the meeting, you will be asked to sign in so that we can keep track of how many people are in attendance.
Allenby parents will have another chance to discuss the options at the April 16th Public Meeting, which might have refined options based on what the other schools involved have presented. No decisions about how to accommodate FDK and increased enrolment at Allenby will be made without consulting with the Allenby Parents. We empathize with the frustration of not having information available as quickly as you have wanted it. It is a process that is filled with data requests, assimilation and analysis of data, and committee discussions.
Please come to the meeting tomorrow night to fully understand the options for Allenby and voice your thoughts on those options. Don’t wait until April 16th. This is the meeting to get the full list of options, the thought process and data behind them and cast your vote.
Babysitting is available with an RSVP to Paula Riczker if you require childcare. Just a note that there are large numbers of children requiring childcare already so it is important to let us know so we can attempt to have appropriate supervision.
