Heritage Months & Days of Significance

The TDSB is proud to recognize important days of significance throughout the school year including a number of heritage and history months. TDSB Committees, made up of community members, Trustees, and staff are in place for many of these to plan activities that celebrate the month and our diverse TDSB community.

Days of Significance 

January is Tamil Heritage Month

Below are the days of significance for the next week:

• January 14^th: Orthodox New Year’s Day
• January 14^th: Lohri
• January 15^th: Makara Sankranti
• January 15^th: World Religion Day
• January 15^th – 18^th: Thai Pongal
• January 16^th: Martin Lither King Jr. Day
• January 16^th – 20^th: No Name Calling Week
