Do You Know the Role of Our Elected Trustee?

1.Trustees are the community’s advocates for public education.

2. Trustees represent interests of parents and students in the area.

3. Our Trustees play a key leadership role in the TDSB in making sure there is accountability for student success and well-being.

4. As members of a school board, Trustees work to put in place programs and policies that represent the needs of their community.

5.Trustees help decide how to spend funds they receive from the Province for things like building and maintaining schools and purchasing school supplies.

6. Trustees sit on a variety of committees with significant responsibilities such as the Special Education Advisory Committee and The French as a Second Langauage Advisory Committee.

Come out on October 14 at 7pm to the Allenby Library for an All Candidates meeting. You will have a chance to listen to the candidates and ask questions. Make an informed choice at the October 27 Municipal Election.
