On Wednesday, June 12, the grade 5 students from Mme Payne, Ms. McGee, and Ms. Wright’s classes will be hosting a documentary film festival (with a water theme) in the gym from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This festival is student organized and is our group’s community action initiative for our final project for Global Scholars.
The doors to the gym will open at 4:00 p.m. to give you time to also enjoy the art installation students have created to accompany the films. We are co-hosting the film festival with the aid of Water Docs. Tickets for the festival are free. We can host a maximum of 250 people, and children, family, and community members are welcome to join in. We will have concessions such as popcorn and drinks (cash only). Also, there will be a raffle for some of the art pieces.
So that we are able to plan for the number of people attending, please fill out the form to let us know if you’ll be coming to the festival. Here is the link: Water Docs Attendance form. Please visit our website for more information.
Thank you for reading our message, and we hope to see you on June 12!
