Welcome, Amazing Allenby Families, to the 2011/12 School Year! We hope everyone had a nice summer, enjoyed the beautiful weather and took some time to recharge, because it is going to be a great year at Allenby. Lots of great stuff is already underway and even more is being planned, so get ready!
Check out what’s new
Here is a sneak peek of just a few of the things that are in the works:
- Changes to www.allenbyparents.com to better distribute information from both the APA and the School Office!
- New online donations and Spirit Wear ordering
- Launch of Allenby Marketplace for advertising within the Allenby Community
- Beautiful stonework in the yard
- A Calendar of Giving outlining fundraising efforts throughout the year. This will enable each family to make informed choices in accordance with their individual family circumstances.
- Additional Smartboards in 5 classrooms and other technology additions throughout the school.

How to get involved
We are so excited for all of the programs and activities planned for this year and would love everyone to take part in some way. Here are just a few volunteer opportunities to think about:
- Director(s) of Fundraising: While all positions on the Executive Committee are voted on at the first meeting in September, this position has received very little “attention.” We need you!
- Class Parents
- Committee Members (Pizza Lunch, Attendance Verification, Kiss ‘N’ Ride)
- Parents Big Night Out Committee (event in November).
- APA Meetings: Come! They aren’t so bad. They are the last Wednesday of the month from 7-9 pm. Child care is provided.
