Throughout October and November Allenby is participating in the “Team Up For Green” program. This is a new TDSB/Toronto Hydro initiative that encourages TDSB families to sign up for Toronto Hydro’s “green” programs and services. This program supports the new TDSB Charter for Active, Safe and Sustainable Transportation, that promotes travel to school by walking, cycling or other modes of active transportation.
There is no cost to families. Simply sign up online for one or all three of the applicable paperless services. You may also download money-saving coupons for energy-efficient products. Encourage family and friends to sign up as well. The more TDSB schools and families participating, the more likely the TDSB will reach their fundraising goal of $250,000 towards the purchase and installation of 500 new bike racks at our schools.
