The Parent Involvement Advisory Committee (PIAC) and Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) are collaborating with the TDSB in delivering a conference for parents/guardians on Special Education topics. The conference is entitled Special Education: Empowering Families through Knowledge and Networking and is being held on Saturday, 28 March 2015 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Workshops are offered on topics designed to support parent understanding of and involvement in meeting the special education needs of their children. Staff from TDSB Special Education, Student Support Services, Caring and Safe Schools and the Research and Information Services Department, as well as representatives from a broad spectrum of outside support agencies, are featured presenters.
