Report on Parent Involvement Committees

Since 2011, Parent Involvement Committees have been mandatory in all Ontario School Boards. The role of the PIC is to encourage parent involvement in their children’s learning to support student achievement and well-being People for Education has released a new report titled Parent Involvement Committees: Supporting Links between Ontario’s school boards and Ontario’s parents. It is based on results from the first ever survey of PICs and highlights the important work of these committees, and how they vary across the province.
