The TDSB character trait this month is COOPERATION. Although the weather has not been cooperative, Allenby is a place where COOPERATION happens every day, making our school a very positive place to be. Students have done their best to stay clear of the mud; however, it is almost impossible for 600 kids not to get dirty when playing outside in a small space with mud nearby. It would be very helpful if students had a change of clothing at school for the next few weeks until our field is able to dry out.
Inside the building, amazing things are happening with programs such as TakingITGlobal, Global Partners, the Free the Children’s “We are Silent” campaign, and of course the preparations for the Earth Day Assembly next week. Part of our Earth Week focus will be the annual community clean-up as part of our aim to be global citizens. We are asking students to bring garden gloves or another type of reusable glove for the clean-up.
