Next Saturday is the annual Allenby Fun Fair and I look forward to enjoying the day with the students, their families and members of the community. The Fun Fair not only proves to be a fun day, but it supports many of the programs at Allenby. In addition to supporting the baskets, I know the Fun Fair Committee is in need of volunteers to sign up for a shift for the day. If I can sign up to be submersed in the dunk tank, certainly collecting tickets or working a table doesn’t sound too bad, does it?
Speaking of volunteering, Allenby staff would like to recognize parent volunteers at a volunteer breakfast on Thursday, June 23, 8 – 9 am in the library. If you have volunteered at this year in the library, on a field trip, with Scientists in the Schools, creating our levelled libraries, or in any of the many ways that volunteers support teaching and learning at, please join us.
