Next Wednesday, May 29th is the next APA meeting. The agenda is available here, however highlights include the following:
1. There are 2 motions that were presented last month that will be voted on at the May meeting.
A. Motion for accelerated reader
Motion: Move to spend up to $2000 on the web version of the Accelerated Reader program for the September 2013 academic year.
B. Motion and discussion (deferred from April meeting) for 2013-2014 technology spend
Motion: To spend up to $18,000 for 5 SmartBoards, 5 Laptops and 5 External DVD drives.
Motion: To spend up to $18,000 for 30 mini HP Notebooks.
2. Jennie Ucar, our principal, along with a few teachers will give a presentation on “what is learning in the 21st century.”

There will also be a June meeting. Since the last Wednesday of the month is graduation, the meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 18th at 7pm. Please note that the 2013-2014 draft budget is presented at this meeting. It is voted on at the first meeting in September.
