March is Greek Heritage Month at the TDSB, a month-long celebration to learn, celebrate and enjoy Greek heritage and culture throughout the system.
Everyone is welcome to join us on Saturday, March 5 for the 2nd Annual Greek Heritage Month Celebration entitled: Greek Spirit Through the Ages at East York Collegiate Institute (650 Coxwell Avenue) from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. The celebration will include performances of dance, drama and music as well as a variety of workshops and activities, such as a Greek history room, candle decorating, clay pot designing, food demonstrations and Greek dancing lessons. Join us as Associate Directors, Angelos Bacopoulos and Chris Usih and Chair of the Board, Robin Pilkey bring greetings and winners of the system-wide Greek Heritage Month Multi-Media Contest in the digital, poster and essay competitions receive their certificates. A free lunch will also be provided to all guests.
