We are fortunate to have a diverse community at Allenby, and we’d love to celebrate that! We invite you to share your traditions and important celebrations with us, so we can learn more about each other and grow stronger as a community. If you have a special occasion or cultural event you’d like to highlight in the newsletter, please email us at Allenby DEI.
Thank you to an Allenby family for sharing this week:
October marks Islamic Heritage Month in Canada, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Muslim Canadians.
From literature and arts to science and social justice, Muslim contributions have shaped Canada in meaningful ways.
This year’s theme at the TDSB is Sabr (patience) and Shukr (gratitude), values that are woven into the lived experiences of Muslim communities.
