The meet is on Thursday October 5th at Earl Bales Park. Please sign the EMA permission form that will be sent electronically.
Entrance to the park is South of Sheppard Ave on the West side of Bathurst, and there will be over 50 schools attending the meet so the parking will fill up quickly. DO NOT PARK ILLEGALLY OR YOUR CAR WILL BE TICKETED AND OR TOWED. See below for parking suggestions.
The races begin at 10:00 a.m. with grade 1 girls running first. Boys follow next and races move ahead very quickly, so please ensure your child arrives early. It is difficult to predict exact race times, so I recommend all runners in Grade 4-6 are at the park by 10:30 a.m. at the latest.
There will be an Allenby tent near the starting line and students must come directly to the tent and check in. Please make sure to remind your child that it will be very busy and to always stay around the tent so they do not miss their race.
If your child has an Allenby t-shirt, please have them wear it for their race, otherwise we will have shirts for students to wear. Runners in Grades 3-6 will be given a bib at the meet for electronic timing. These will be pinned to the runners so we will need some volunteers at the tent to help with this.
Please make sure runners are on time and have food, water and appropriate clothing for the weather that day. If you have any questions please email one of the coaches, Ms Levitt (Risa.levitt@tdsb.on.ca) or Mr Barta (Mark.barta@tdsb.on.ca)
