Call for Volunteers: Classroom Allocation Working Group

Soon after March Break, the TDSB will issue their projections for Allenby’s enrollment and provide the administration with the school’s teacher allocation for the 2023/24 school year. The number of students enrolled in each grade and panel, along with the number of staff assigned to our school (classroom teachers, resource teachers, prep teachers, etc.), will be used to form classroom allocation models for next year.

The process of determining classroom allocation is one of numbers and creativity, with the goal of arriving at the best possible situation for all Allenby students. Each year, the APA is asked to form a working group to provide input into the allocation process. Volunteers will spend approximately five to six hours working on the models and meeting to discuss them.
