Recently, TDSB trustees voted to support waiving permit fees for parents stepping in to provide extracurricular activities. At Allenby, our APA funds have helped finance the parent-lead extracurricular permit costs for activities initiated so far this year, as supported in individual motions put forward in APA meetings. Thus far, parents have organized hockey, boys volleyball, girls volleyball, lunch Glee Club, and lunch ball hockey. APA monthly meetings are a good place to informally connect with individuals who have organized these activities if you have an interest in initiating a new team/club.
