APA Speaker Series: Featuring Dr. Alex Russell November 22nd, 2017

“Why are more American teenagers than ever suffering from severe anxiety?” That is the title of a New York Times Magazine article published on October 11th, 2017. Clearly, stress and anxiety are taking hold of our children and it is an epidemic – not only in America or here at home in Canada, but globally.

On November 22nd, please join us as we host guest speaker Dr. Alex Russell, Author of Drop the Worry Ball, who will offer a fresh perspective that aims to help parents take a positive and emotionally rewarding role in their children’s lives, while allowing them to have the opportunity to make their own decisions (and mistakes) while they are growing up. He will address the common challenges that parents face, including dealing with troublesome behaviours, supporting children at school, and controlling or monitoring children’s access to computers, cell phones and other forms of digital technology.

So far, we have had an enormous response from Allenby parents to this event!  If you have signed up already, thank you and we look forward to seeing you on November 22nd. If you haven’t signed up yet, please RSVP ASAP. Space is limited so be sure to reserve your seat!
