Scientist in Schools Needs Your Help

Scientists in School holds a special place at Allenby as one of our favourite learning partners. We are pleased to let you know that this past weekend SiS made it to the final round in CST’s Learning Project for best educational ideas. It was selected to move on to compete in the final round with 25 organizations to win $50,000 in funding for its idea – one that will bring complimentary workshops to over 5,000 students in schools in low income communities. Second and third place prizes range from $10,000 to $25,000.

To win, Scientists in School needs votes…lots of votes. Maybe you’d like to vote to help them reach the winner’s circle! Voting for the final round starts Monday, May 25 and runs to Monday, June 1. We’ll provide the actual URL link to the voting button in our next issue, or check the main CST Learning website this coming Monday when Round Two launches.

Registration to become a ‘voter’ takes only a minute and you can opt out of being on any future mailing list. Each voter has one vote daily, or up to three if they also register their Facebook and Twitter accounts. While you’re there, check out the other organizations competing for funding. Maybe you’d like to vote for them too!

Special thanks to you and Allenby!
