Thanks to the efforts of Robin Halpern and Mrs. Doherty’s grade 1 class, many students participated in the First Bike to School Day and as a result, our school won a free Bike Rack! We hope to have more bike racks in the future as part of the Playground Enhancement Project being facilitated by Gillian Uy and Shannon Phillips.
Along a more serious note, Ms. Alberti will be having major surgery this summer as a result of a recurrence of a cancer she has been dealing with for 12 years. At this point, the extent of the surgery and treatment are unknown. Although her brain is already full of ideas for next year, it is unlikely that she will be able to return on September 2. An update will be posted at the end of the summer.
