Our Community Cares

There are many local charitable organizations ramping up to help others in one of the greatest times of need our City will ever see. As a charitable organization itself, the APA does not direct fundraising dollars to other charitable organizations. However, to do our part, we are highlighting a few of the organizations that are in particular need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Toronto Foundation for Student Success
On a normal day 200,293 students across Toronto receive nutritious breakfasts through their School-based Nutrition Programs. Schools are closed and these programs are not operating. To help fill this gap, TFSS has been working with Toronto-based school boards and volunteers from KPMG to get food cards to the families of children in need. Each child will receive a $50 food card, which is the cost of breakfast for 30 days. More information and how to donate can be found here.

North York General Hospital
To tackle COVID-19, hospitals require surgical masks. N95 masks and face shields. North York General Hospital is appealing to industry, dentists, veterinarians, and other health care professionals to donate unopened and unexpired PPE. More information on how to donate to North York General, can be found here.
