The Ministry of Education is consulting with parents to\u00a0get feedback on several areas of the education system.\u00a0The consultation is comprised of a series of open-ended questions. Feedback from these consultations will help shape decisions in the following areas:<\/p>\n

  1. Improving student performance in\u00a0Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)<\/li>\n
  2. Preparing students with needed job skills, such as\u00a0skilled trades\u00a0and coding<\/li>\n
  3. Improving provincial\u00a0standardized testing<\/li>\n
  4. Ensuring students graduate with important life skills, including\u00a0financial literacy<\/li>\n
  5. Managing the use of technology in classrooms, such as cell phones<\/li>\n
  6. Building a new age-appropriate\u00a0Health and Physical Education curriculum\u00a0that includes subjects like mental health, sexual health education, and the legalization of cannabis<\/li>\n
  7. Developing the first-ever\u00a0Parents\u2019 Bill of Rights<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
