Remembrance Day Assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n This year our Remembrance Day Assembly will be taking place on Friday, November 10th starting at 10:45 am. Parents are welcome to join us. This year we welcome our guests of honour, Warrant Officer Mike Cacciavillani, Master Bombardier Sarah Breker and Acting Sub-Lieutenant Alex Wood.<\/p>\n Progress Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n Progress reports are being sent home next Tuesday, November 14th\u00a0with all kindergarten to grade six students. These reports are intended to provide you with an early indication of how your child is progressing at this point in the school year. The progress report does not contain grades. A large focus for the Progress Report is the Learning Skills: Responsibility, Organization, Collaboration, Initiative, Independent Work and Self-Regulation. At Allenby, we feel that the development of these learning skills is an integral part of a student\u2019s learning. The subject comments describe the strengths and next steps for learning relative to the student\u2019s progress towards the achievement of the curriculum expectations.<\/p>\n A Parent-Teacher interview evening will take place on the evening of November 16th\u00a0and many interviews will take place the following day on the PA Day. I always encourage regular, ongoing, home and school communication. I hope that parents have confirmed an interview with their child\u2019s teacher.
