\u201cWhy are more American teenagers than ever suffering from severe anxiety?\u201d That is the title of a New York Times Magazine\u00a0article<\/a>\u00a0published on October 11th, 2017. Clearly, stress and anxiety are taking hold of our children and it is an epidemic \u2013 not only in America or here at home in Canada, but globally.<\/p>\n

On November 22nd, please join us as we host guest speaker Dr. Alex Russell, Author of\u00a0Drop the Worry Ball<\/em>,\u00a0who will offer a fresh perspective that aims to help parents take a positive and emotionally rewarding role in their children\u2019s lives, while allowing them to have the opportunity to make their own decisions (and mistakes) while they are growing up. He will\u00a0address the common challenges that parents face, including dealing with troublesome behaviours, supporting children at school, and controlling or monitoring children\u2019s access to computers, cell phones and other forms of digital technology.<\/p>\n
