What a week! I have had many moments since I joined the Allenby family in which I have felt pride, but none as great as this week. On Tuesday, we celebrated as a school Jamie and Renee\u2019s Excellence Award with an unbelievable video created by staff and students and produced by Chris McElcheran (an Allenby parent) followed by their recognition at an Awards Ceremony on Tuesday evening where I had the pleasure of speaking about these two remarkable women and their impact on our school community.<\/p>\n
Wednesday afternoon we opened our doors to parents and the community for our Open House. Classes came together to engage in a wide variety of engaging learning opportunities none of which involved paper.<\/p>\n
To our Music Night Wednesday evening with over 200 hundred students participating in our primary and junior choirs and amazing performances by our grade six band and strings programs, along with our new grade 5 band program and our Boys to Men Choir (with our male teaching staff joining our boys\u2019 choir).<\/p>\n
I can\u2019t think of a better way to celebrate Education Week!<\/p>\n
