It is with great pleasure, and no surprise, that I announce that Renee and Jamie are the proud recipients of the 2016 TDSB Excellence Award. Renee and Jamie are exceptional and truly exemplify the best of our school, our Board and public education. They are surrogate mothers to the 800 students at Allenby and make one of the largest elementary schools in the TDSB feel like home. These two super stars will be recognized at an Awards Ceremony with our Trustee Jennifer Arp, our Superintendent Peter Chang and the Director John Malloy along with the other recipients on the evening of May 3rd. I will have the pleasure of speaking about on this evening about these two. I want to thank all of the families who sent me lovely letters supporting my nomination. Although I was not able to attach all of the letters to the nomination package, I wrote about the letters received and conveyed the messages received from Allenby families. I also have been emailing Renee and Jamie a letter daily from those that I received in the lead up to the ceremony. Allenby Public School would like to recognize them as well and as such we will be hosting an assembly in their honour on May 3rd at 3:00 pm. Parents are welcome to join us for this assembly.<\/p>\n
