There were roughly 27,000 books borrowed during the 2013\\2014 school year from the Allenby Library. As well, students passed over 4,000 Accelerated Reader book quizzes on the computers while the program was being run.<\/p>\n<p>The Library Information Centre is a vibrant and exciting part of our learning environment. Students can borrow all sorts of library resources, such as magazines, fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels. As well, there is a full computer lab in the library.<\/p>\n<p>If you are able to donate half a school day of your time, we still have spots for library volunteers. Duties include: helping primary students sign out books, shelving books, labeling books, helping IT classes, etc..<\/p>\n<p>We will be running our annual <strong>Scholastic Book Fair<\/strong> the <strong>week of September 22nd<\/strong> from Monday to Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In order to run the fair, we will need parent volunteers. If you are able to donate most of a morning or afternoon of your time during one of these days, please let me know by email at<a title=\" jeffrey.osborne@tdsb.on.ca\" href=\"mailto:%20jeffrey.osborne@tdsb.on.ca\"> jeffrey.osborne@tdsb.on.ca<\/a>.
