There are 2 motions that were presented <a title=\"APA Meeting Minutes April\" href=\"http:\/\/www.allenbyparents.com\/blog2\/wp-content\/APAmeetings\/2013_Apr_Minutes.pdf\" shape=\"rect\">last month<\/a> that will be voted on at the May meeting.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A. <strong>Motion for accelerated reader<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Motion:\u00a0 Move to spend up to $2000 on the web version of the Accelerated Reader program for the September 2013 academic year.<\/div>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">B. <strong>Motion and discussion (deferred from April meeting) for 2013-2014 technology spend \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Motion:\u00a0 To spend up to $18,000 for 5 SmartBoards, 5 Laptops and 5 External DVD drives.<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Motion:\u00a0 To spend up to $18,000 for 30 mini HP Notebooks.<\/div>\n<div>2. Jennie Ucar, our principal, along with a few teachers will give a presentation on &#8220;what is learning in the 21st century.&#8221;<br \/>\n3. Committee updates<br \/>\n4. Treasurer&#8217;s report<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>There will also be a June meeting. Since the last Wednesday of the month is graduation, the meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 18th at 7pm. Please note that the <strong>2013-2014 draft budget<\/strong> is presented at this meeting.
