As mentioned above, the Student Accommodation review will\u00a0start soon.\u00a0The first step in the consultation is to form an advisory committee made up of parents, school staff, & daycare from each school and some community members. This PART (Program Area Review Team) committee will help\u00a0 ensure that the consultations hear from all interested people, that the information presented is complete and understandable during the consultations, and that TDSB staff and Trustees gather all available insight, options, opinions, and information available before\u00a0making decisions about how to deal with enrolment pressures in North Toronto elementary schools. As we enter into this process we wanted to assure you that\u00a0 Allenby has a great cross-section of parent volunteers\u00a0on the Space\/FDK committee.\u00a0There is representation from both English and French parents, daycare parents, parents with very\u00a0young children, parents with older children, and parents who live in all parts of our current school boundaries. As you know, a\u00a0call-out was sent out to all Allenby parents to join the committee last year when we first learned that this process would be taking place and we are pleased to have a great group of volunteers in place. The committee has been meeting since the fall in preparation for the formal process.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The representatives on the PART\u00a0 will be fully supported by the work of our larger committee. \u00a0They are not making decisions on their own. \u00a0They represent the ideas of the committee. We are committed to giving parents as much information as possible with updates through the Allenbeat, allenbyparents.com<\/a>, and at the APA meetings. \u00a0If there are more time sensitive updates then we will use our email system.<\/div>\n
