On Monday May 28th a members of our Grade 6 Free the Children Team took some Grade 5 prospective members along with Ms. Levitt and Mrs. Segal to a Free the Children event at the ROM. Here is an account of the experience from two Grade 5 attendees.<\/p>\n
OUR FREE THE CHILDREN EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n Hello! We are Hannah Flemington and Angelina Zaretsky, and we feel very privileged to be telling you about the experience we had on Monday, May 28th. We were invited by the Free the Children leadership group to attend a We Day celebration at the ROM to announce that RBC was going to be co-sponsoring the 2012 We Day celebrations. One of the things that was so great about this event was hearing motivational speakers, such as Craig and Mark Keilberger and Martin Sheen, and seeing musical performances from Sean Desmond and Metro Station.<\/p>\n We are very excited about being active members of the Free the Children leadership program next year when we’re in grade 6. We get to be part of raising money and helping out people around the world and in our own community that are less fortunate than we are. We know this is very important work, we felt it in the air all around us at the ROM.
