The contest invites students to express their appreciation for School Crossing Guards through art, while helping schools and communities take part in the celebration in a meaningful and engaging way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contest Winners:<\/strong>\u00a0The winning drawings will be featured on the official thank-you cards for School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week and provided for distribution throughout Ontario.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Winner Announcement:<\/strong>\u00a0The winners will be announced by April 13th, 2026, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/allenbyparents.us9.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5b5527a684a32a91614edc1de&amp;id=b7c4238ef7&amp;e=6eb4078d30\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week webpage<\/a>. The winning drawings will be featured on official thank-you cards distributed during School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week (June 1st to June 5th, 2026). The contest theme is &#8220;Celebrating Our School Crossing Guards&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Any child between the ages of 4 and 14 years old may enter. One entry per student, and this is open to students across Ontario. The contest is now open and will close on\u00a0<strong>March 31st, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Submit:<\/strong><br \/>\nClick <a href=\"https:\/\/allenbyparents.us9.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5b5527a684a32a91614edc1de&amp;id=f2c37e4fd7&amp;e=6eb4078d30\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>\u00a0for contest details<br \/>\nArtwork must be emailed to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:traffic@otc.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">traffic@otc.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student\u2019s first name<\/li>\n<li>Age<\/li>\n<li>School name<\/li>\n<li>Municipality<\/li>\n<li>Contact information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Artwork Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper size:\u00a0<strong>8.5 x 11 inches<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Accepted formats:\u00a0<strong>JPEG, PNG, or PDF<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Any drawing medium may be used<\/li>\n<li>Artwork must reflect the contest theme in a positive and appreciative way<\/li>\n<li>Submissions must be original work<\/li>\n<li>Drawings should reflect diversity and inclusivity within the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important Note to Parents and Guardians:<\/strong><br \/>\nBy submitting an entry, parents or guardians consent to the use of their child\u2019s artwork on thank-you cards and related promotional materials for School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week, along with the child\u2019s first name and city or town.<\/p>\n<p>The Ontario Traffic Council School Crossing Programs Committee was created to implement a One Voice Approach for collaboration, sharing, review, support, and resources.
